For Dr. Mari Grimes, leadership has always been about more than titles and accolades—it’s about purpose, alignment, and impact. With over 15 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, governance, and strategy, Dr. Grimes built a distinguished career leading mission-driven organizations and shaping the future of education, equity, and social change. But despite her success, something was missing.
A Harvard-educated executive with deep expertise in leadership development, she found herself feeling burnt out, disconnected, and uninspired—trapped in a cycle of achievement that no longer felt fulfilling. She began to notice that many of her peers—brilliant, accomplished, high-achieving leaders—were experiencing the same crisis of purpose. They had followed the traditional paths to success, yet they felt stuck, questioning their next steps and longing for something more.
Determined to reclaim her own authenticity, creativity, and leadership brilliance, Dr. Grimes embarked on a two-year journey of self-reflection and transformation. Drawing from psychology, executive coaching, leadership theory, and esoteric wisdom, she uncovered a powerful truth: True leadership isn’t about external success—it’s about aligning with your deepest values, awakening your creative potential, and leading from a place of purpose.
From this realization, Bravura Leadership was born.
